A diamond certificate may include details such as:

- polish and symmetry
- proportions and measurements
Certification provides customers with confidence that the diamond has been independently evaluated by a recognised gemological laboratory.
Independent Grading Laboratories
Diamonds may be graded by internationally recognised laboratories such as the International Gemological Institute (IGI) or the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
These laboratories assess diamonds using internationally recognised grading standards to ensure consistent and reliable reporting.
Verifying Your Diamond Certificate
Where a diamond is accompanied by certification, it will include a unique certificate number.
Customers can verify their diamond by entering this certificate number on the relevant laboratory’s website. This allows the grading report to be reviewed directly through the laboratory database.
Many certified diamonds also include a microscopic laser inscription on the diamond girdle displaying the certificate number for additional verification.
Lab-Grown & Natural Diamonds
Elysium Diamonds offers both lab-grown diamonds and natural mined diamonds.
Lab-grown diamonds are created using advanced technology that replicates the natural diamond formation process. They possess the same chemical, physical and optical properties as natural diamonds.
Natural diamonds are formed over billions of years within the earth and extracted through mining operations.
Both diamond types are genuine diamonds and may be graded using the same internationally recognised standards.
